Audi

AUDI AG: new record year with 1.8 million deliveries in 2015

AUDI AG achieved a new sales record in 2015: Compared with 2014, worldwide deliveries increased by 3.6 percent to around 1,803,250 automobiles. This total was achieved despite the fact that the first representatives of the current model initiative – the new A4, the new Q7 and the new R8 – were not yet available in all regions of the world. In Europe and China, Audi confirmed its position as the most successful premium brand; in the United States, the brand with the four rings grew at twice the rate of the market. In December, around 158,450 customers worldwide chose an Audi, an increase of 5.6 percent. This means that the company has increased its sales for the 72nd successive month.

Audi raggiunge 1,8 milioni di auto nel 2015 con una crescita del 3,8%, il risultato è più che soddisfacente, USA ed Europa hanno aiutato non poco perché la Cina si è praticamente fermata.
Il 2016 dovrebbe essere migliore grazie ai nuovi modelli come A4, Q7, A5, A3 restyling, Q5, Q2 e A8.


Daimler

Mercedes-Benz delivered more cars to customers in 2015 than ever before in one year. The Stuttgart-based premium brand with the three-pointed star sold a total of 1,871,511 vehicles (+13.4%), posting its fifth record year in a row. Furthermore, the year 2015 ended for Mercedes-Benz with its strongest-selling December (178,017 units, +9.1%) and best quarter (495.159 units, +8.8%).

Mercedes e' riuscita a strappare il secondo posto ad Audi nel settore premium, rispetto alle rivali tedesche la stella a 3 punte e' riuscita a crescere enormemente anche in una Cina che sta rallentando.
Grande merito va alle compatte ( soprattutto alla GLA), alla Kl. C e alle Smart.

The Jeep® brand recorded sales of more than 1.2 million units worldwide in 2015 – the highest total in its 75-year history – setting a global sales record for the fourth consecutive year. Sales of 1,237,583 Jeep vehicles improved upon the brand's 2014 global record of 1,017,019 by 22 percent. In the U.S., sales of 865,028 units bettered the 2014 total of 692,348 units by 25 percent.

"2015 marked the second consecutive year of more than 1 million Jeep vehicle sales across the globe, the sixth straight year of Jeep sales increasing globally and in the U.S., and the highest total in the brand's 75-year history," said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand – FCA Global. "While we introduced the all-new Renegade, which is delighting consumers across the globe, we're especially pleased that several Jeep vehicles recorded best-ever annual sales, both globally and in the U.S.

"In 2015, we began local manufacturing in Brazil and returned to local manufacturing in China after an absence of nearly a decade, further globalizing the Jeep brand," Manley added. "Now, in 2016, we look forward to celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Jeep, and continuing to deliver a full lineup of class-leading capable and efficient SUVs."

Jeep 2015 sales rose 56 percent in the Europe, Middle East & Africa region and 135 percent in Latin America.

December marked the highest monthly sales ever for the Jeep brand, both globally (127,879 units) and in the U.S. (89,654 units).

Jeep vehicle sales were led globally and in the U.S. in 2015 by Cherokee (295,081 global; 220,260 U.S.), Grand Cherokee (277,236 global; 195,958 U.S.), Wrangler (255,283 global; 202,702 U.S.), Renegade (158,351 global; 60,946 U.S.), Patriot (143,003 global; 118,464 U.S.) and Compass (108,626 global; 66,698 U.S.).

Jeep continua la sua cavalcata di trionfi, le vendite sono aumentate del 22% e rischia di superare il marchio Fiat all'interno del gruppo FCA.
Anche modelli stra vecchi macinano record e la Renegade sta conquistando i mercati extra americani.

olvo Car Group predicted its third consecutive record in annual auto sales in 2016 as the Swedish company adds to its lineup of premium vehicles targeting American consumers.

Buoyed by the new XC90 sport utility vehicle, deliveries reached a new high last year, rising 8 percent to 503,127 vehicles, Gothenburg-based Volvo Cars said Friday in a statement. It was the first time the 89-year-old automaker has breached the half-million sales mark in one year.


Demand last year jumped 24 percent in the U.S. and 11 percent in Europe and ended unchanged in China after an 11 percent gain in the fourth quarter. “These upward sales trends are expected to continue in 2016,” Volvo said. The company reiterated a medium-term goal of selling 800,000 cars a year. While China’s car market in 2015 was “challenging,” the automaker said it expects to continue expanding there over time.

Volvo e´riuscita a superare il mezzo milione di unita´vendute per la prima volta nella sua storia, l´era Ford e´dietro le spalle e adesso gli svedesi devono camminare con le proprie gambe, hanno una gamma che si rinnovera´rapidamente per poter raggiungere le 800.000 unita´entro il 2020.

Jaguar-Land Rover

Jaguar Land Rover said sales in 2015 rose 5 percent to 487,065 vehicles, missing the half-million delivery target the British manufacturer set a year ago, as a decline in China offset gains made from record demand in Europe and North America.

The luxury unit of India’s Tata Motors Ltd. posted its sixth consecutive year of gains, with Land Rover sport utility vehicle sales rising 6 percent to 403,079 deliveries on demand for the new Discovery Sport compact SUV and the more expensive Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models. The Jaguar brand sold 83,986 cars, an increase of 3 percent, the Whitley, England-based division said in a statement.

The carmaker posted a 24 percent sales drop in China, in the world’s largest vehicle market, where a sharp economic slowdown and a government crackdown on extravagant official spending have tempered expectations for growth.

Le vendite di JLR sono salite del 5%, un risultato non brillantissimo a causa del calo del 24% in Cina, negli Usa e in Europa la situazione e´ottima ma dobbiamo tener in mente che la gamma e´stata ampliata verso il basso e ci devono essere grandi crescite nel 2016.

Volkswagen Group delivers 9.93 million vehicles in 2015
• CEO Matthias Müller: “Systematically making the Group fit for the future.”
The Volkswagen Group handed over 9.93 million vehicles to customers worldwide in 2015. “Delivering almost ten million vehicles is an excellent result, particularly in view of the continued challenging market situation in some regions as well as the diesel issue in the final quarter of last year”, Matthias Müller, CEO of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft, commented in Wolfsburg on Friday, and went on to say: “While developments on markets in Brazil and Russia had a noticeable impact on deliveries by our brands, we made advances in Europe. We also recorded further growth in the North America region and in the USA.” According to Müller, 2016 will be no less challenging: “On the one hand, as a global company we must handle the situation on world markets where trends remain mixed. And on the other, it is our wish and intention to systematically make the Group fit for a successful future.” He said that not only involved overcoming the crisis, but above all related to the fundamental realignment of the Group. Müller added: “We are currently preparing our ‘Strategy 2025’, which for me is the most important step towards a modern Volkswagen.”

3.43 million customers in Western Europe took possession of a new vehicle from the Volkswagen Group in 2015, representing a rise of 4.8 percent. The delivery situation in Germany remained positive at the end of the year (+4.0 percent). The Volkswagen Group also reported increases on other markets in Western Europe. Growth was particularly strong in Spain (+16.1 percent) and Italy (+8.8 percent). The tense situation in Russia (-36.8 percent) continued to impact deliveries in Central and Eastern Europe. As a result of these developments, the Volkswagen Group delivered more than four million units in one year for the first time in the overall European region.

The company also recorded growth in North America in 2015, handing over 931,800 vehicles there. At 607,100 units – an increase of 1.2 percent – the United States accounted for the lion’s share of these deliveries. Group deliveries in the tense South America region, however, continued to fall (-29.8 percent). This trend is chiefly attributable to deliveries in Brazil, which totaled 389,900 units.

The Group delivered 3.93 million vehicles in the twelve-month period in the Asia-Pacific region, of which 3.55 million units were handed over to customers in China, the Group’s largest single market.


Risultati di vendita per il 2015 più che deludenti per il gruppo Vw, le vendite sono calate del 2% soprattutto per colpa del marchio Vw. Il gruppo registra perdite gigantesche in Brasile, Russia e India mentre in Europa, Cina e Nord America cresce meno del mercato.
Il 2016 non sarà migliore a causa della crisi di fiducia a seguito dello scandalo diesel, gli ordini sono in calo in tutti i mercati.

BMW

2015 was the most successful year ever for the BMW group with annual sales setting a new record for the fifth year in a row," the group said in a statement.

A total of 2.247 million BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles were delivered to customers around the world last year, an increase of 6.1 percent on the previous year, the statement said.

In December alone, however, sales slipped by 0.8 percent to 213,537 vehicles, BMW said.

"Our sales grew consistently throughout the year, despite headwinds in some markets. We expect many of those challenges to continue into 2016," said sales and marketing chief Ian Robertson, speaking at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Sales in Europe were up by 9.4 percent, sales in the Americas rose by 2.8 percent and sales in Asia climbed by 4.2 percent.

Buoni risultati per il gruppo BMW grazie soprattutto a Mini, serie 2 e i suv, la Cina rallenta non poco ma è compensata dalle buone performance di Europa e Nord America.

Peugeot-Citoren

PARIS (Reuters) -- PSA/Peugeot-Citroen's global vehicle sales rose by just 1.2 percent last year as a China slowdown and emerging-markets slump almost cancelled out the benefit of a European auto recovery.

Global sales rose to 2.97 million vehicles in 2015, the Paris-based group said in a statement today.

Sales increased 5.9 percent in Europe and 6.4 percent in the company's Middle East and Africa region, but fell 0.9 percent in China and Southeast Asia.

Full-year sales were "impacted by a highly challenging economic environment" in emerging markets, the company said, with Latin America recording a 21 percent decline and Eurasia - mainly Russia - plunging 73 percent.

Chinese sales were up 8.9 percent in the fourth quarter, however, as the market recovered from some mid-year weakness, PSA said. The company, which is due to report 2015 earnings on Feb. 24, gave no forecast for the current year.

The group's embryonic premium badge, DS, suffered setbacks in all major markets and a 13.6 percent drop in global 2015 sales as it awaits a second generation of models.

The Citroen brand, currently undergoing a makeover embodied by models such as the C4 Cactus, also continued to underperform in Europe and most of the world, posting a 2.1 percent global sales decline to Peugeot's 4.6 percent increase.

But Citroen gained ground in the Middle East and Africa, where its 16.1 percent sales jump outpaced Peugeot's 2.3 percent advance, thanks to strong demand for the pared-down C-Elysee sedan.

Under CEO Carlos Tavares, the carmaker rebounded from a brush with bankruptcy two years ago to a 5 percent automotive operating profit margin in the first half of 2015, a level of profitability not seen for more than a decade. But PSA had warned conditions would become tougher in the remainder of the year.

Crescita molto modesta per il gruppo Psa nel 2015, solo un 1,2%.
I francesi sono riusciti ad aumentare le consegne in Europa, in Cina sono rimasti stabili ma sono crollati in Brasile e in Russia.
