September the best ever month for sales in Mercedes-Benz’ history This September Mercedes-Benz sold more vehicles than in any other previous month. A total of 142,994 new cars were supplied to customers around the world, equivalent to growth of 15.9%. 1,062,638 units have now been sold since the beginning of 2013 (+10.1%). In the third quarter of the year Mercedes-Benz sold 368,201 vehicles and recorded growth of 18.0%. The third quarter was particularly successful for the company in the United States and China. Mercedes-Benz also expanded its market shares in Europe and remains most-registered premium brand in Germany, Japan and the United States. Much of this growth can be attributed to the compact models and the new E-Class, which was launched to great success. The new S-Class is already leading the way of new vehicle registrations in Germany. With its launch in the Chinese market in September its global presence and position will be further strengthened. AUDI AG: sales up 10 percent in September • Around 1,180,750 deliveries since January, up 7.6 percent • Sales chief Luca de Meo: “In particular A3 Sportback, Q3 and Q5 strengthening sales” • Continued double-digit growth in China New sales record for Audi in September: Around 150,300 customers chose a model with the four rings last month, a year-on-year increase of 10 percent. The company continued to benefit from growing sales in the United States (+6.2 percent) and double-digit growth rates in China (+28.2 percent). Also in Europe, Audi concluded the month of September with a positive comparison to last year (+3.0 percent). Altogether, AUDI AG’s worldwide sales increased from January to September by 7.6 percent to around 1,180,750 cars. “Despite significantly more difficult conditions in many key markets, we closed the first three quarters again with stronger sales than in the same period last year. We thus continue to perform better in every region around the world than the respective overall automobile market,” says Luca de Meo, Member of the Board of Management for Sales at AUDI AG. “In particular, the Q3, Q5 and A3 Sportback were driving our sales.” 189,675 vehicles sold in September, an increase of 6.7% • Worldwide sales reach all-time high at the end of third quarter • Company maintains sales growth in nearly all regions MUNICH , Oct. 9, 2013 /CNW/ - The BMW Group continued its successful course in September with another record month in sales. With 189,675 (prev. yr. 177,726) BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles delivered worldwide, sales were 6.7% higher than in the same month last year. In the first nine months of 2013, sales increased by 7.5% to the new all-time high of 1,436,178 vehicles (prev. yr. 1,335,502). E e (in grandissima parte) a kl. |
